Learn the main fine arts techniques, from drawing to painting, from collage to mixed media. This knowledge will be gained through the study of the Masters. After learning the basic rules of these techniques, students will be fostered to test themselves and create their own artwork by experimenting and mixing various media (e.g. acrylics or watercolours with pens, pencils and collage, etc.). Low-cost and recycled materials will be used.
The course is structured in order to teach students the main notions about the history of art, studying key artistic periods and movements from prehistory until today. Students will learn about the structure and operation of the art industry, receiving career guidance and advice on further studies.
Trimester II: Prehistoric Art, Egyptian Art, Ancient Classical Art, Renaissance, Caravaggio, Baroque, Neoclassicism, Romanticism, Academism and Realism.
Trimester III: Art Nouveau, Fauvism and Expressionism, Naïve Art and Primitivism Art, Dadaism, Cubism, Futurism, Surrealism, Abstract Expressionism, Pop Art, Minimalism, Conceptual Art, Performance Art & Body Art, Land Art or Earth Art, Arte Povera, Neo Expressionism.
Angela Viora is a past lecturer at the MAXXI Museum (Rome) and the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and Turin. Her work has been exhibited at the International Istanbul Biennial.
